There is so much power in the Word of God. When we pray and proclaim it over us, these blessings are called into fulfillment. Over a period of forty days you can pray thematic blessings over your baby, toddler or young child.

Each day deals with a different aspect of our humanity. Some of the themes are: hands, feet, thoughts, wisdom, peace, obedience and favour.

The scriptures are written in a prayer format to make it easy for a parent to read and pray. The blessings will never grow old and your child’s spirit will never get tired of them.

An extract as an example:

My precious child, ____________ (name of your child), I bless every word that comes out of your mouth. Father, I pray that You will always put a guard in front ____________’s mouth. Please protect the door of his/her lips.I bless you with words of wisdom, words that bring life to others and words that spread God’s light.

May your words be as sweet as honey. I bless you with a supply of uplifting words under your tongue. Like honey and milk, just waiting to be handed out, within the leading of the Holy Spirit. I bless you with the right words at the right time. I proclaim today that your mouth will be an instrument of the Holy Spirit, pure and ready. Your mouth will bless and not curse. It will be like a clear fountain bubbling with fresh water.
