Thieves Blend

Thieves Oil is an ointment that helps to boost the immune system. Thieves Oil is based on the famous "Thieves Oil". 

During the Dark Ages of Europe, the black plague killed millions of people. This fatal epidemic was so contagious that when people died, no one was willing to remove the bodies for fear of contracting the disease. Dead people in the streets were left untouched and unburied. 

There was a band of thieves who robbed the bodies of their jewellery and broke into the homes of the deceased to rob them. 

The thieves never caught the highly contagious disease themselves. They were caught by the authorities and the king demanded they reveal their secret for being immune to the plague, in exchange for a lighter sentence. The thieves took the deal. 

The king discovered that these robbers were perfumers and spice traders, who knew about the protective properties of essential oils. 

The thieves rubbed the oils of clove, cinnamon, lemon, eucalyptus radiata and rosemary onto their bodies, to protect themselves from the plague. Thus, came the name "Thieves", for the blend of these oils.
